Fanal privacy policy

Fanal is a shift work calendar with alarms. It works without an account and without a server of ours.
What Fanal keeps, and where
Your schedule (cycle, shifts, alarms, leave, changed days, notes), your hours and pay settings, the schedules you added and your Pro status are stored on your phone, and nowhere else on our side. We have no user accounts, no database, no audience measurement and no ads.
Backup
Android backs up Fanal’s data along with your other apps, under your own Google account, if backup is turned on on your phone. That copy is managed by Google; we have no access to it. You can turn it off or delete it in your phone’s settings.
What leaves your phone, and only when you decide
- An export (backup file, PDF or CSV of your hours, file or QR of your schedule) goes wherever you send it, through Android’s share sheet. We don’t receive it.
- A shared schedule holds the name you give it, your shifts with their times, the cycle and the changed days ahead (leave included), without alarms, notes or hours.
Reading a QR code
To read a schedule’s QR, Fanal uses Google components: the Google Play services code scanner and ML Kit, which reads a QR in a picture. The picture is analysed on the phone. These components send Google technical diagnostic information: device model and system version, app version, performance metrics, error codes and a per-installation identifier that is not meant to identify a person. Google encrypts it in transit and does not pass it to third parties. See https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/android-data-disclosure. Your schedule is not part of it.
Purchases
Pro subscriptions and purchases go through Google Play. Google handles payment under its own terms; Fanal only receives the purchase state (active, in trial, ended), never your payment details.
Permissions
Exact alarms, notifications, full screen for the ringing alarm, phone start-up (to set the alarms again), vibration, internet access (used only by Google Play for purchases and by the QR reading components). Fanal asks for no location, contacts, camera or microphone.
Your rights
Everything is on your phone: uninstalling Fanal erases its data from the phone. The Android backup copy stays in your Google account for a reinstall; you can delete it in your phone’s Google backup settings. Questions: [email protected].
Children
Fanal is meant for working adults and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with its date.
